Welcome.

There are many reasons you might be seeking counseling or mental health therapy. Perhaps you are overwhelmed with stress right now, or you want to make a change in your life. Or maybe your life has already changed and you are working on adjusting to it. You may be struggling with an experience, or trying to find your balance, your center.

Counseling that centers on you as a whole person.

My approach to counseling and therapy is person-centered, focusing on the whole person and their experiences with the world, and providing an accepting and collaborative connection in which to explore concerns and work toward your specific goals.

I meet you where you are now, and together we explore what you need, to help you center yourself, heal and find what is central to your well-being. Our therapeutic work will give you the support you need to access your inner reserves and enhance your strengths, to allow you to connect more meaningfully with your life and relationships.

Integrated perspective.

Our work together is based on an understanding of you in the context of your life and different roles you function in, biological and social development, and interaction with the world around you, including life events and traumas. I integrate various therapeutic strategies to suit your needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based practices, Gestalt Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other techniques as appropriate for your individual goals.

I also have over ten years of specialized experience counseling older adults, and adults of any age who have acquired brain injuries, including traumatic brain injuries, stroke, and Parkinson's Disease.
